Services Management
Introduction:
In 1400 (2021), the Services Management was separated from the Procurement Management and continued its operations through three general management units: Maintenance and Care, Transport, and Inventory Accounting. The Services Management conducts activities in various sectors, focusing on initial project assessments, project supervision, secondary project evaluations, final project delivery, and addressing deficiencies post-delivery through contracted companies. Additionally, it addresses deficiencies identified after one year by these contracted firms. The management is also responsible for landscaping activities, including planting grass, ornamental flowers, and both fruit-bearing and non-fruit-bearing trees, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the university's surroundings, public corridors, and organizing the work area. Another responsibility of this management unit is to coordinate vehicles for official tasks and manage the collection and recording of supplies through the General Management of Transport and Inventory Accounting.
Objectives and Services
• Implementation of appropriate service operations, including transport, security, and maintenance of equipment at Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
• Consolidation of service requirements (water supply, electricity, fuel, lubricants, and stationery) along with other services.
• Provision of fire safety equipment and necessary measures to prevent fire hazards at Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
• Preparation of cleaning supplies and organization of cleaning operations to ensure the cleanliness of buildings, corridors, and restrooms, thereby maintaining a suitable administrative environment.
• Inspection of movable and immovable property at Kabul University of Medical Sciences to prevent deterioration, loss, and theft.
• Examination of issues related to repairs (electrical systems, water supply, painting, carpentry, and heating systems).
• Coordination and organization of cleaning services, water supply, administrative facilities, transport services, and the transfer of surplus and depreciated assets related to Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
• Ensuring the operational readiness of vehicles and machinery to meet the transport and service needs of Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
• Implementation of necessary measures to provide better maintenance services for equipment and repairs at Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
• Supervision and oversight of the performance of subordinate staff.
• Guidance and training for subordinate staff to facilitate the transfer of professional skills and enhance their capacities.
• Monitoring and control of the dispatch of correspondence, proposals, inquiries, and reports to ensure compliance with directives, decisions, and resolutions made by the administration's leadership.
