Aliabad Teaching Hospital of Kabul University of Medical Sciences has successfully administered epidural anesthesia for the first time on patients within the facility.

According to the hospital's report, epidural anesthesia was administered to several patients, and the results were positive and satisfactory.

Officials from the hospital indicate that epidural anesthesia will be applied to cancer patients, orthopedic cases, and for managing labor pains.

It is noteworthy that the administration of epidural anesthesia aims to reduce pain or completely eliminate it (anesthesia) in a specific area of the body, while the patient remains fully conscious during the procedure.
