Library Management

Introduction:

The Library Management of Abu Ali Ibn Sina University of Medical Sciences in Kabul is one of the oldest and most prestigious scientific libraries in Kabul. Established in 1932 alongside the founding of the Faculty of Medicine, the library was designed to meet the needs of faculty members and students by providing a well-equipped facility. Since its inception, the library has offered effective services to both faculty and students, remaining accessible to them at all times. Over the years, through the diligent efforts of its administrators, esteemed faculty, and international partners, the library's resources have been significantly enriched.

The library currently houses a collection of 16,296 volumes of books and over 5,757 volumes of various medical journals from reputable national and international references, totaling 22,053 volumes of books and journals. Additionally, it contains 405 volumes of scholarly works by esteemed faculty members, 512 volumes of undergraduate monographs, and 111 theses from master's degree faculty. All books have been digitized into a database on the library's computers, allowing faculty, students, and other interested individuals to easily access them through the Zotero program available on the computer interface.
