Sheikh al-Hadith Mufti Ihsanullah Abulfaizan, the President of Kabul University of Medical Sciences, met and discussed with a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO). This meeting was held to review and expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the area of capacity building in cancer treatment.

During this meeting, the President emphasized the importance of providing suitable opportunities for enhancing scientific and technical capacities and called for continued effective cooperation in the field of capacity building and assistance in medical equipment. He also highlighted the efforts of the university leadership in creating better conditions for addressing cancer patients.

Representatives of the World Health Organization, while appreciating the ongoing cooperation, stated that capacity building in the oncology sector is important, and if this sector is strengthened, it will prove effective. They also pledged that after conducting the necessary assessments, appropriate decisions regarding further collaboration especially in the area of technical assistance will be made.

It is worth mentioning that after the conclusion of the meeting, the representatives of the World Health Organization also visited the Comprehensive Center for Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment.
