History and perspective

The establishment of the Faculty of Medicine and its twinning with Turkey from 1311 to 1324:

Based on the need to establish higher education in the country, after comprehensive investigations in 1311 AH according to 1932 during the reign of Nader Shah, the Faculty of Medicine was established as the first institution of higher education in the country, because at that time the academic and administrative staff could carry out the affairs of the faculty in the country. We did not exist. Therefore, the decision was made to ask the friendly country of Turkey for help in this matter, and the professors of Turkey took charge of the various departments of the Faculty of Medicine and strengthened them day by day. First, there was no basic building for the faculty, so the renovation of the Dar Laman site and later the renovation of Habibieh High School (the current Ayesha Durrani High School) was chosen as the teaching place for medical students. Transferred to repair. Dr. Rafqi Bey as the first head of this institution, then Professor Dr. Hasan Rashad Bey, followed by Professor Dr. Zahedi Bey, who were all pro-Turkey professors, respectively held the position of the head of this faculty after signing the agreement. The professors of the friendly country of Turkey have established excellent services in the academic department to the Faculty of Medicine as the first institution of higher education in Afghanistan by creating the regulations, the required departments and the responsibilities of the relevant departments.
