Information and Communication Technology Center of KUMS

Introduction:

The Information Technology Management, which was elevated from general management to a dedicated directorate in 2019, features a state-of-the-art technology center known as the ICT-Center. This center was established with financial support from the World Bank through the Higher Education Development Program (HEDP) of the Ministry of Higher Education. Recently completed and inaugurated, the center houses two fully equipped computer labs with a total of over 100 computer stations, available daily for faculty and students to facilitate easy access to the internet and contemporary information resources.

In addition, this directorate includes a training room and a video conferencing room where national and international research programs and conferences are conducted. The facility also encompasses a server room, a control room for security cameras, a PC workshop, a power room, and a staff room. Through dedicated efforts and collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and the World Bank, this directorate has successfully provided professional internet coverage (both wired and wireless) across the university, the Aliabad Teaching Hospital, and the Cardiac Institute.
