General Management of Information Technology
The aim is modernizing, using modern technology, standardizing, facilitating of work and providing update information for professors, students and staff that providing information through the website and social networks about Kabul University of Medical Sciences for all.
The fact is that modern technology is a new phenomenon in Afghanistan and does not have a long history. The use of new technology at Kabul University of Medical Sciences began with the rebuilding of the university and developed during this period so that now, Kabul University of Medical Sciences has developed a network of internal Internet facilities which provides internet access opportunity to faculty members, staff and lecturers whose bandwidth capacity is 20MB in total.
Kabul University of Medical Sciences has three computer classrooms: class of Master's degree program at the Faculty of Public Health has a capacity of 14 users. The classes of English language department have the capacity of 17 users. Anatomy classroom has the capacity of 20 users. The ICT department classroom has a capacity of 20 users.
Kabul University of Medical Sciences also has three Computer Labs:
- Computer Lab of Library that has a capacity of 20 users.
- Public Health Computer Lab which has a capacity of 20 users.
- Computer Lab PBL that has the capacity of 6 users.
Kabul University of Medical Sciences has a room of video conference which has the capacity of 25 people at a time which is also equipped with a computer and projector, Sound System, TV, Webcam Camera and Loud Speakers.
Kabul University of Medical Sciences also has a CCTV system (Security cameras). There are a total of 47 cameras inside and around the campus and one of them is movable camera. In the next two years, the internal network of all the teaching buildings and teaching hospitals will be built, the Internal Internet network of the main building will be renovated and ICT Center with a capacity of 200 users at a time will be built with standard facilities.
